Wikis

Wikis are a great way to create something as a group. A wiki could be used in classrooms to build discussion on certain topics. It could also serve to share useful tips such as test taking strategies for specific types of tests (for example the SATs). I explored classroom wikis and got the impression that students take more ownership of their learning because they are contributing to the eduction of others. Many students already practice some form of sharing of information on the web. So, using wikis as part of class time learning sounds and looks like a great tool to engage students and facilitate learning.
